Our workplace
The Swedish Public Employment Service in Örebro is a unit with about 170 employees located in Örebro, Hallsberg, Lindesberg, or Karlskoga. Our catchment area consists of the county's 12 municipalities. We offer local service to the county's job seekers and employers. Together, we are responsible for ensuring the unit's ability to achieve set goals and results. Our leadership means that we lead with a close and coaching approach that encourages participation, motivation, and accountability.
Job description
As an Employment Officer, you will focus on job seekers and employers, and you will be an important support for them, making a difference every day. A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Employment Service's mission, services, as well as rights and obligations.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working more deeply with people who, for various reasons, have difficulty entering the labor market. Your tasks will include identifying job seekers' competencies, barriers, and motivations in order to find, obtain, retain, or return to employment. After identification, concrete measures will be developed that should be coordinated and collaborated with relevant partners and authorities. The work may also include guidance, educational initiatives, or the development of job search strategies. You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

We are looking for new colleagues to work with SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support), a program for job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, obtain, or retain a job. The job involves close collaboration with employers in both the private and public sectors, often on-site.
Our offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The placement location is Örebro, Hallsberg, Lindesberg, or Karlskoga. Your employment begins with an introduction.

Basic requirements for the position
- University/college education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
- Alternatively, you have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Service and are assessed to have good conditions to meet today's requirements for Employment Officers
- At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent for a total of 2 years
- Good knowledge of Swedish, that is, a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
- Driving license B
Other merits for the position
- Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, and/or partners
- Experience with proactive employer work and business contacts
- Work experience providing support and service via phone and digital channels
- Work experience interpreting and applying regulations
- Work experience in guidance and coaching
- Experience and knowledge of various types of work barriers (e.g., disabilities, substance abuse, and social legal issues)
